Pippin has had a busy month and a half since Natasha (puppy raiser) began her travels on May 1.

George Kawaguchi, Marlon Doll and myself have been acting as puppy sitters in her absence.

Pippin is a big, beautiful boy. He has been going to work with me and seeing clients at Magnolia House (Vancouver Coastal Health). We hang out in the backyard of the house and everyone has fallen in love with him. He makes people smile, tell stories about their own dogs and allows people to snuggle and play in the moment. One client came out of her room for the first time in a week to meet Pippin and ended up lying on the grass with him. The staff were very pleased. Way to go Pippin!

We travelled to Sechelt and spent time with a rescue dog named Sheba and two kitties. He loved the ocean and learned to swim there. We hiked everyday and he slept well every night -snoring from time to time.

His skills on the off leash walks are very good. He is able to just keep on trucking when we see other dogs, except if they are Labradors and then all bets are off. He walks well now with a loose leash, his recall is very good and his behaviour in my apartment is excellent. No barking, good in the elevator, happy to be in his crate. Thanks to George and Marlon. It has been great fun and I think he has learned lots by being with three different sitters.
