My puppy-raiser, Kevin took these photos of me, Porter II, this past weekend while doing geological fieldwork high in the Purcell Mountains in eastern British Columbia. In the second photo, I find a complicated structure in the mountain across from me to be quite interesting. As you can see it captured my attention.

Kevin reports that I’m an excellent mountain dog: staying close, navigating boulders and scree with ease, and not distracted by large or small animals in the vicinity. Will these qualities make for a good breeding dog? Guess you’ll have to tune in and see in a couple of months! For now I gotta go learn more!

Hugs and wags, Porter
