MUDGE is working on basic obedience with novel handlers as well as in high distraction locations. Mudge has made major progress this month on her dog distraction and learning to politely and quietly wait her turn to train. She loves wrestling with her trainer’s new puppy, so that is one of her rewards for working through distractions.

  • Skills being learned: Retrieve, differentiating between ‘foot’ and ‘my lap’, ‘light’ and ‘switch.’
  • Recent field trips: Metrotown, local middle school, Canadian Tire, Costco.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Vocalizing when frustrated, impulse control, dog distraction.
  • Potential career path: Service or PTSD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Mudge!
