December has been a good month for training opportunities with all the Christmas decorations and lights. We met raiser Jo and PADS Edith at Coquitlam Centre where we walked around the mall, explored stores, practiced “go ins” then chilled while having a coffee.

We had an in person class at IKEA, it was great to see everyone and other pups. We went to LaFarge Lake not only to see the beautiful lights but to video our “Catwalk Challenge” where there were lots of distractions including ducks.

Nana went to sitter Beth who has two young kids, Nana has not had much experience around young kids, Beth said she was wonderful with them. She spent some time around horses and bunnies too.

Christmas Eve Doug and PADS Pride came for dinner, Nana & Pride had so much fun together, they were both passed out by the end of the night and every toy in the toy box was out, the sign of a good time.

We had all our kids and their significant others for Christmas as well as two other pups, one only 11 weeks, the other 8 years. Nana was so good with the puppy, she was gentle even when getting her tail pulled or legs bitten. Of course Santa came and brought Nana some fun new toys, like she needed more!

Just after Christmas Nana had some tummy issues and we ended up taking her to the vet on New Years Eve day. She is happy, has energy and is eating & drinking, she’s taking some meds to help. We did get out for some fun in the snow, she had a blast.

Happy 2022!!
