BOWYER is being assessed for a career as a PTSD Service dog and has been spending more time in a home environment this month. He is loving the extra attention. Recently he has been going to work with one of our advanced sitters and has been practicing his great office manners. When he is off duty, he loves to have a good run at the off-leash dog park.
- Skills being learned: Maintaining basic obedience and public access manners with a novel handler.
- Recent field trips: Office, Superstore, Costco, Lougheed Mall, off-leash dog parks.
- Possible behavior challenges: Dog distraction, resource guarding, barking at unseen noises.
- Potential career path: AFD or PTSD
