This month I decided to take my human to Long Beach for his birthday. I had heard a lot about the beaches and trails there and thought it would be a great place to spend a few days. And was it ever!!! I couldn’t run loose on the beach very much, but that didn’t stop me from exploring everything. And there was so much to explore – sand, waves, 100 different kinds of seaweed – it was doggie heaven. And there were lots of other dogs there to check out (but not too closely). We spent a whole afternoon just exploring the trails through the woods – it was amazing.

My human tells me that I did very good in all the different restaurants we went to (the other dogs had to stay outside). But that was easy, it was warm and dry and I was pretty tuckered out from a day on the beach.

While we were there we practiced a few of the things Margaret and Jackie talked to my human about after our “walk and talk” last week. I’m trying to be better behaved around other dogs (but its soooo hard sometimes!!!) and I’m really trying to not be walking behind my human and from side to side. That’s starting to get a little easier.

So we had a great week, and a great month. I think I need a few extra hours of sleep, but I can’t wait to go back!!!
