The big event this month was BURKE’S trip out to the Burnaby Campus with Miranda and his buddy Trevoy to work in our training facility. During the trip, Burke was assessed by training manager Margaret to determine his progress in advanced training. Burke had a difficult time keeping all of his wiggle in check when being greeted by strangers, so we are working our hardest on this behavior and are hoping to have him take his pre-placement test as soon as we have this challenge under wraps. He loved spending time with his brother Webber and his honorary siblings Vesper and Trevoy who were also raised by his people Troy and Madeline.

  • Skills being learned: Hand signals, proofing behaviors for special pressure and for greetings.
  • Recent field trips: Road trip to the Lower Mainland, Lougheed Mall, Red Robins.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Some cape sensitivity, over-excitement when greeting people.
  • Potential career path: AFD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Burke!
