We’re getting into the swing of summer with the recent good weather and have been taking advantage of the warm days by spending as much time as possible taking our obedience on the road and working in local parks. BURKE is loving that after holding his 5-minute sit or 3-minute stand that he then gets to go romp and play with his friends. Fingers crossed that all this hard work will pay off when Margaret comes by at the beginning of June to run his public access test.

  • Skills being learned: ‘My lap’, deep pressure, hand signals, anxiety interruptions, body blocking, ‘light’, ‘switch.’
  • Recent field trips: Home Depot, MacLeod Trail Animal Hospital, local parks, Junior High School Counselor’s office
  • Possible behavior challenges: Some cape sensitivity, occasionally pulls towards strange dogs.
  • Potential career path: AFD or PTSD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Burke!
