BURKE is enjoying the transition into Fall and has been “working” hard visiting new people and going on to lots of different places so he can keep his skills sharp for his future client. We are eagerly awaiting a client match for him. In the meantime, Burke has been having lots of fun perfecting skills like retrieving medication on a timer and keeping his obedience and manners on point with various handlers.
- Skills being learned: ‘My lap’, deep pressure, ‘bow’, ‘fist bump’, chin targeting to laps and the ground, ‘roll over’, retrieving medication on a timer, ‘light’, ‘button.’
- Recent field trips: Local off-leash dog areas, Michaels, Chinook Centre, various other training field trips.
- Possible behavior challenges: Mouthing at hands when greeting, olfactory and dog distraction.
- Potential career path: AFD or PTSD
Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Burke!
