COFFEE has kept up his skills and abilities as he is handled by Rob and other volunteers on the island. He loves working, particularly when he gets to practice his retrieve skills. Coffee has shown great improvement with his tolerance of body handling and can now have his nails trimmed without difficulty. He has spent a couple of weekends with a volunteer and he has been on his best behavior.
- Skills being learned: Maintaining all service skills and public access manners, practicing self-control when he sees exciting people.
- Recent field trips: Various malls around Nanaimo, ferry trips, various community centers, library, Nanaimo boardwalk.
