Comox has been enjoying his life at PADS Puppy University! His favourite parts are his nap times with Smore and his mealtimes with his handlers. Comox is very comfortable and relaxed here and makes a good office buddy. Comox is happy to be around his people and is great for his “down” duration (most likely because it’s his napping position, haha). Some of the quirks that we are working on are his sticky feet/freezing with “let’s go” or when he perceives spatial pressure. Comox has been showing some mixed feelings about these things and does best with the use of a food reward. As we get to know him, we hope to find other ways of engaging with these parts of an environment that will help build his comfort and confidence.

  • Skills being learned: Practicing getting comfortable with being on the grooming table
  • Recent field trips: Lougheed Mall
  • Possible behavior challenges: Hesitancy around perceived tight spots and “freezing.”
  • Advanced training location: West Coast (Burnaby Campus)

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Comox!
