Well August certainly whipped by for us in the “Smokanogan”, but despite the somewhat unappealing weather I had a very busy month full of new adventures. Starting off I got to take my raisers to the Starlight Drive-In not once but twice, which is pretty awesome since they’ve never been. We were even lucky enough to be there to witness a very special marriage proposal! I also got to march in the Okanagan Pride Parade, I rocked the rainbow as any respectable hippy should and I even got to work with one of our wonderful wheelchair clients for a few minutes which was an amazing experience. I spent the final week of August with a puppy sitter so I got to work at an office job for a few days while my raisers we’re busy. I got to show off everything I’ve learned so far and to top it all off I got to spend two days with PADS puppy-in-training Yahtzee. Needless to say I was a bit tired when I got home – my raisers keep laughing at me for sleeping so much but I can’t usually hear them over my snoring. Anyway that’s all for now, I can’t wait to see what September brings. Submitted by: Sarah Markson
