My sister, Shale, went to advance training with Miranda in Calgary! How exciting is that? I can’t wait to hear all about her progress!

I may not be in advance training yet, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t go to school or expand my skills. In January, I spent the day with a local school’s youth worker. I even tried to provide some support to the kids that she is mentoring. I was so good that she asked my raisers if I could assist her once a week! So I will until she gets her own pup! I love those tiny humans’ sounds and how lively they are. But I have to admit; I am bushed when I get home. I can sleep in my kennel for 12 hours straight. Don’t judge; that’s the way I recharge my battery.

January has been pretty low-key (no more Christmas shopping – yay!!). But, I went back to the malls for a different reason…duration. Did you know that I need to hold my down for 20 min and my stand for 3 min as a service dog? Well, I didn’t, and it’s not as easy as you think, although I am better in distracting areas since there is so much to watch and I love watching.

I feel it guys, the pressure is on, and I am training hard to get a chance at advanced training, but next month, I get a nice vacation from my raisers. With COVID-19, there are very few outings, and some routine has settled in, so it will be nice for me to spend a full week with a new family and have no expectations.

I’ll be sure to tell you all about it. In the meantime, let me take a small stroll to my bed so that I can grab another little nap 😉
