GATSBY has shown much improvement in his leash manners and impulse control over the last few months and has continued to build his service skills repertoire. His get-up-and-go energy and persistence make him a fun dog to work with! Gatsby loves the snow and has enjoyed the snowfall on the Island very much. His favorite after-training activity is playing in the yard with his training buddies Daegan, Dax and Vimy, and playtime is always more fun with snow involved!
- Skills being learned: Practicing paw skill with cues ‘button’ and ‘open the door.’
- Recent field trips: Parksville Boardwalk, Nanaimo Harbour.
- Possible behavior challenges: Pulling on leash, has a hard time staying in the proper position when in a ‘let’s go.’
