We are currently working on Hammond’s behaviour in his highest distraction areas. Luckily there is a dog friendly brewery right by my work that we go to every week. There are lots of people and lots of dogs, and the added element of being inside, but he is getting really good at ignoring them.
There are also a few nearby shops that have resident dogs and we go to visit there, where the dogs will come to check Hammond out, but he will stay in a down and mostly ignore them and look to me instead.
We are also working on his Stand, Sit and Down durations to make sure that he does not default to a down after a few minutes and can hold the testable standard times.
