HECTOR has been getting to know his new roommates Vimy and Spartan and is enjoying the new play buddies! He has also been busy learning some new skills. He is particularly focusing on strengthening his retrieve.
- Skills being learned: Holding items steady in his mouth until his handler asks for them, “push”, “tug”, “button”, “open the door”, maintaining obedience when greeted by people or other dogs.
- Recent field trips: Parksville Library, aquatic center, various other outings.
- Possible behavior challenges: Dog and people distraction, particularly when approaching new people or dogs.
- Potential career path: Service
