HERO loved the snow and was very enthusiastic about playing outside with his housemates during the week of snow that kept him housebound with his assorted human and canine roommates. Dana and Hero took the opportunity to practice obedience and loose leash walking in the snow, also practicing durations for sit/down/stand. His trainer took a real holiday this month (without dogs) so Hero spent extra time with his puppy raisers, checking out his previous workplaces, and getting in lots of snuggles. When Dana returned, he made his rounds through different schools and community centers, keeping his public access skills fresh. Hero is keeping his paws crossed for good news this spring!

  • Skills being learned: Practicing all skills and obedience is unusual weather conditions, maintaining public access and meet and greet manners.
  • Recent field trips: Various outings with advanced trainer Dana and assorted novel and known handlers.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Noise sensitivity, low confidence, uncomfortable with people reaching for his head.
  • Advanced training location: Lower Mainland – Satellite
  • Potential career path: AFD
