It was a busy month for HERO! Hero was tasked with teaching PADS puppy-in-training Phie how to settle and relax around other dogs while working on his durations. He had a sleepover with Training Manager Margaret, and a practice public access test. Hero had a working spot in a canine fitness seminar, where he impressed everyone with his willing nature, excellent coordination, and ideal body condition. He spent a few days in Ucluelet and loved running on the beach with all the other dogs. He was less enthused with the Christmas Market and much preferred hanging out at the pub in front of the fire.

  • Skills being learned: Settling in busy spaces, sharpening all basic obedience and public access manners.
  • Recent field trips: Byrne Creek School, Ucluelet, BC Ferries, Canine Fitness Seminar, Abbotsford Christmas Market, Chilliwack Secondary School.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Noise sensitivity.
  • Potential career path: AFD
