September was a month spent practicing my settling skills under the hoomans desk or on my bed. She’s spending an awful lot of time looking at the computer screen while focusing on school work. We have had to make a couple of trips to the campus, which gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my cape and practice my skills. It is still few and far between that you could catch me out in public, but we have been spending time walking at our local parks. I am finding it hard to walk loose-leash so the hoomans are seeing if relaxing my expectations gives me the confidence boost I need.

One special thing did happen this month and that was PADS Acorn came over for a visit. We both practiced our nice house manners and ended our day with a play in PADS Louis’ backyard.

The end of September marked the end of the MOVE for PADS event. Team Thanksgiving Lion (named after Acorn & I) raised an outstanding $850 for PADS. Hooman and I are so grateful for the outpouring of support our village showed for us. We are sending virtual hugs to every last one of the supporters that kept hooman moving all of September. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us. Stay tuned for some upcoming adventures around the Lower Mainland.
