January was snowy in Vancouver! I have grown so much compared to my first snow day as a puppy last January, with hardly any puppy zooms this year! Regardless, fresh deep fluffy snow is lots of fun to play in and provides an extra challenge to practice default cues like “sit” and “wait”.
This month, my raisers dedicated a whole week of intense practice to “wait” and then “out” through every single doorway we encountered. I used to tend to rush through and now seem to have the hang of walking nicely through the door instead. Next mission is to learn to ‘settle’ more quickly, with pilates class being a good place to practice.
