MALLEE had big plans for this month but a few roadblocks got in the way. However, she is showing off her impressive resilience by putting her nose to the grindstone and working hard on skills at the training center. In late March, her brother Makore joined the Calgary crew and Mallee is having lots of fun playing with her siblings (Makore joined Mallee and brother Iroko) whenever she can. At home with her sitter she shows off how to self-isolate with the best of them and is keeping her social interactions limited to her canine friends. We are looking forward to continuing on with our regularly scheduled programming soon.

  • Skills being learned: Chin targeting, tug, holding objects, nose and foot targeting.
  • Recent field trips: Downtown Calgary (earlier in the month), rotation of dog beds (Mallee is a napping aficionado; she can laze with the best of them!)
  • Possible behavior challenges: Cautious about moving objects, loud noises, and stairs.
  • Advanced training location: Calgary
  • Potential career path: Assistance Dog

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Mallee!
