MAYA II continues to enjoy spending her evenings with her raisers/advanced sitters and is working on some basic skills in a home environment. Maya continues to progress in her skills and is gaining more persistence with her service skills, something that is very important for a mobility service dog. We are hoping to get Maya pre-placement tested for all skills and obedience in May and hope to have Maya ready for placement soon!
- Skills being learned: Maintaining all skills, retrieving items off counter, transactions.
- Recent field trips: New Westminster Quay, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Trout Lake, various local malls, PetSmart, Bosleyβs.
- Possible behavior challenges: Sometimes lacks confidence in her skills when she struggles to complete a task.
