MAYA II is a superb dog to train. She is very soft and biddable with a willingness to please. She loves to be your shadow and wants you to know she is close at hand. When retrieving items, she brings them to you with an extra waggy tail! Most nights she does not sleep at PADS and goes home with her sitter, then returns ready to work in the morning.
- Skills being learned: Maintaining all skills, retrieving crutches, using appropriate grip on various items, holding onto items tightly without damaging anything.
- Recent field trips: New Westminster Quay, Lougheed Mall, various local schools, Ikea.
- Possible behavior challenges: Low confidence.
