We had Merino for two weeks and he is a joy. He is extremely eager to learn and works well in and out of cape. He quickly learned basic commands such as sit, down, touch, here, gentle, let’s go, better go now, mine/yours, chin, wait, release (for his dinner), and he knows his name well.
Merino is also learning to walk on a loose leash unless there are distractions such as other dogs. He toilets well on and off leash. I would continue to focus on loose leash walking, gentle playing (no biting people), and not chewing on furniture etc. He is also learning to extend his duration for sit, down, and wait.
We will miss you Merino!
