MOCHA has been keeping busy learning some PTSD skills and is enjoying the training. Mocha excels at PTSD service work because she is very attentive and genuinely enjoys supporting her person’s physical and emotional needs. When she is not working, she loves to have a good play outside with her training buddies.
- Skills being learned: Resting on top of handler when needed, disrupting handler with nose bumps when signs of increased anxiety (rubbing the hands or legs) begin to show
- Recent field trips: Parksville boardwalk, off leash trails, downtown Nanaimo, various other field trips.
- Possible behavior challenges: N/A
- Potential career path: PTSD
