MOCHA recently got to visit Colliery Dam. There is a dog park there right off the water where she met many dogs. She also went swimming and then got chased by a pack of dogs as she carried a long stick around the area. Mocha also got to practice good handling skills as she did some obstacle courses with a volunteer while the volunteer held a tray with 2 cups full of water. She did great. Mocha has learned all the required skills for a service dog and continues to work on sharpening those skills, so she is ready to transfer those skills to a possible client.
- Skills being learned: Maintaining and improving all existing skills, maintaining basic obedience and public access manners.
- Recent field trips: Downtown Nanaimo, Colliery Dam
- Possible behavior challenges: N/A
- Potential career path: Service or PTSD
Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Mocha!
