MUDGE has been focusing her training time over the last month on perfecting her default behaviors around extra delicious food on the ground. It has been especially challenging when she has been working in the food court during the busy holiday season. Mudge went on an extended field trip to a local middle school and was on her best behavior, making friends with all the students and teachers. Mudge took time over the holidays to get wet and muddy and thoroughly enjoyed herself. She also enjoyed plenty of quiet time with her sitters, spending many of her days off lazing in front of the fire.

  • Skills being learned: Practicing default ‘leave it’, sharpening all learned skills, maintaining all basic obedience and public access manners.
  • Recent field trips: Various local malls and schools, Langley Christian Middle school, various other training field trips.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Occasional dog distraction.
  • Potential career path: AFD or PTSD
