MUDGE had no trouble acclimating to snow in the Lower Mainland, as she has much experience with snow weather from trips to Pemberton during puppy raising. She was a great role model for Hero on how to translate obedience skills to the new weather conditions. She loved playing outside in the snow but preferred when it wasn’t crazy windy! Mudge got to spend extra time with her puppy raisers and sitters, as her trainer took a (dog free!) holiday to sunny Winnipeg. Mudge worked hard on her homework, ignoring food and practicing her default behaviors. Mudge has been spending time in movie theaters, cafeterias, and food courts – anywhere you’ll find food on the ground and continues to strengthen her default “leave it”.

  • Skills being learned: Maintaining all skills and obedience in a variety of weather conditions, sharpening all default behavior, including default “leave it”.
  • Recent field trips: Various outings with advanced trainer Dana and assorted handlers.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Occasional dog distraction.
  • Advanced training location: Lower Mainland – Satellite
  • Potential career path: AFD or PTSD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Mudge!
