PAISLEY II joined advanced training recently and has been out with her advanced sitter practicing various skills such as ‘dress’, ‘go in’ and loose leash walking. Paisley has strong duration obedience and has been practicing it paired with default ‘leave it’ for food on the floor. Paisley has started to work on campus with Ashley now. Paisley has been working on ‘perch’ and other foot movement skills with Ashley as well as starting to go out on field trips with the rest of the group!
- Skills being learned: Practice of obedience and default behaviors, co-operative care for foot handling
- Recent field trips: Lougheed Mall, Central Park and Queen’s Park
- Possible behavior challenges: Foot/body handling sensitivity, resiliency
- Advanced training location: Burnaby
- Potential career path: Assistance Dog
Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Paisley!
