QUIXLEY has traveled to Vancouver Island to spend time with advanced training volunteer Don. Quixley is enjoying all the one-on-one attention and loves to have a good cuddle on the floor with Don. He has been practicing transferring his obedience and public access manners to a new handler and has been spending time learning to determine when his handler needs his support and appropriately interrupting.

  • Skills being learned: β€œMy lap”, anxiety interruption behaviors, maintaining basic obedience and public access manners.
  • Recent field trips: Ferry trip to the island, restaurants, doctor’s office, grocery store.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Occasional scent distraction from food on the floor, occasional dog distraction.
  • Potential career path: PTSD or AFD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Quixley!
