QUOKKA continues to do well with his advanced sitters and has been getting lots of great practice on what the life of an assistance dog looks like after placement. Quokka accompanies his sitters on all kinds of day-to-day outings, including grocery shopping and going to the mall to run errands. This kind of practical experience is valuable to a dog nearing the end of his training because it shows us that that he will maintain his obedience and public access skills once he is working with his client, accompanying his human as they complete day-to-day tasks that may not always be super engaging for him. Quokka continues to eagerly await his perfect client match!
