Ashley and Susie have been collaborating to create training plans to help RAINBOW grow in some of her challenge areas. Rainbow thought it was weird that Susie wanted to feed her meals out in the rain or for standing in puddles, but now she thinks it is great and doesn’t mind the rain and puddles as much anymore. She has also done a little bit of dabbling in sound assessment work with Ashley and is still deciding if the work is for her or not. Rainbow will be moving over to Ashley’s string so that she can further explore sound work and her other career options with the help of Susie.

  • Skills being learned: Clarity of ‘stand’ and ‘side’, refining obedience cues.
  • Recent field trips: Various field trips with Susie and other advanced training sitters.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Avoidance of rain or puddles, dog distraction, impulse control around thresholds.
  • Advanced training location: Burnaby
  • Potential career path: Service, Hearing, PTSD Service or AFD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Rainbow!
