I have been living with Tonka’s puppy-raiser now for a couple of months. I like playing with Tonka – he is ridiculously fun to play with! He doesn’t like to swim, though, and Linus does, so Linus and I go out deep in the River to swim when it’s hot outside.

My humans cut down one of their big trees this month and left a huge stump, which is great to sit upon – I can see the whole world when I sit up on top of that! But you see that bird bath beside the stump? I figured it was fair game to jump from the stump onto the bird bath. THAT surprised everyone – especially ME, when I found out it was so tippy!

Some of my classmates and I got to do a sad thing this month: we attended the funeral of my puppy-raiser, Bob Campbell, who died in a car accident at the end of April. I got to visit with his son and his daughter and their families and all the people who knew Bob. They were very sad, but they were happy to see me. They were all worried about me. I don’t really understand why I can’t see Bob anymore, but there are lots of people who love me still, and I will be okay.
