In September, I went back to work with my mom at her elementary school. I was very excited to see all my student and staff friends again! My mom says that I settled back into my work routine quickly and was very helpful with some of the students who were feeling sad about being back at school. I learned that people have to practice their skills, just like puppies-in-training: the school fire alarm went off and we all had to go outdoors! Mom told me this is a monthly drill at the school.

This month, I visited the grocery store, mall, bottle depot, doctor’s office, and went on some field trips including Stage West, and the Terry Fox Run with the staff and students of my school.

Skills I have worked on this month include: transition from sit to stand, duration of stand, heel, plus yielding to leash pressure to maintain a loose leash.
