SASSAFRAS has been working on really listening to sound location and going to the right spot for the right sound. She has also been practicing being patient while waiting between sounds as we start to space them out with more time in between sounds going off. She continues to do well with new alert scenarios and is always excited to let Ashley know when a sound is going off. After a productive training session, Sassafras loves to have a play in the yard with training buddies Valour, Chess and Winnie, followed by a good cuddle with her kennel buddy Zaria.
- Skills being learned: All sound alerts learned so far in different scenarios with more time in between each sound.
- Recent field trips: Metrotown Mall, Trout Lake, Lougheed Mall, other field trips with Ashley and advanced training volunteers.
- Possible behavior challenges: Default ‘leave it’ for food on the floor when activated.
