SKAHA II has been focusing on default settling behavior to become an incompatible behavior with her interest in scavenging when left unattended.  She is coming along with settling with her handler out of the room and we hope to see this help with her scavenging challenges. Skaha has also been working hard on sharpening and strengthening her obedience around varying levels of distraction and has been going on all kinds of field trips with Ashley and the rest of her training buddies! After a good training session, Skaha loves to have a good play in the yard with play buddies Winnie, Yahtzee and Vesper.

  • Skills being learned: ‘Stand’, refining ‘heel’ and ‘side’, practicing default ‘leave it.’
  • Recent field trips: Canada Games Pool, Lougheed Mall, various other training field trips.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Scavenging, separation anxiety, freezing on leash.
  • Potential career path: AFD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Skaha!
