One day Brenda and her daughter Cierra were out on a walk and noticed a PADβs dog chasing a ball and jumping in the water. This proved fortuitous for the mother of three, as she chatted with the owner and instantly knew her family would benefit from such a pet. Her son, Isaiah, is nonverbal and developmentally delayed and her daughter, Hope, suffers from juvenile arthritis. Last April their dreams came true when Stefan joined their family.
βFor our children Stefan is so loving and adapts to each ones needs,β says Brenda, βHe is so gentle, sensitive and smart that sometimes when I feel exhausted and overwhelmed he sits beside me and leans up against me. I know he senses that I need the comfort that only he can provide.β
