TAKO spent this month on various field trips to local schools to see how he likes the busy environment. He loves being around the children and teachers and is patient and sweet whenever anyone wants to come say ‘hi’! He is working on perfecting his obedience and adding lots of durations to his ‘sit’ and ‘down’, especially while getting pet.
- Skills being learned: Maintaining basic obedience and public access manners, increasing ‘wait’ duration at thresholds.
- Recent field trips: New Westminster Quay, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Trout Lake, various local malls, PetSmart, Bosley’s, various local schools.
- Possible behavior challenges: Impulse control around people, drooling excessively.
- Potential career path: AFD
