With getting her public access back after being in heat, Tilly got to go back to a Whitecaps games again which she seemed to really like. She’s also been on some great hikes and lots of walks. One night when walking near home she started looking off into the distance as though someone with a dog was coming. She was quite intent on staring ahead, wasn’t pulling but was still walking forward. I looked further up ahead to realize there was a huge black bear ahead of me, crossing the trail. I immediately stopped and told Tilly to sit. She listened right away. We backed away and walked back from the bear. Tilly was super calm, listened to my commands, and was a very brave pup. Nice to have her nose and night vision because I would have gotten much closer before realizing the bear was ahead of us. Yay Tilly!
