We finally feel like Tommy is starting to figure us out and that we are starting to figure him out! We have loved taking him for hikes. He has also had a few outings with other PADS pups – one of his favourites was with the wonderful Woodstock! Tommy even got to go with Caleb back to school at UFV for the teacher program and they all loved him! We are excited for him to join Middle School at Unity at the start of September.
Big news: Tommy got neutered this month and has bounced back remarkably well. He seemed normal almost right away, as if nothing has happened.
Some areas of growth we saw this month were in loose-leash walking, people distraction, and recall (in medium distraction environments). We continue to work diligently on animal distraction, barking, and “side.”
