TWEED is working hard to keep up with his siblings, who are all moving towards placement. It is still a bit early to tell but this quick learner is enjoying the work thus far. We are hopeful he will continue to improve at the rate he’s going and maintain his enthusiasm.
- Skills being learned: Retrieve, opening and closing doors
- Recent field trips: Rathtrevor park, malls, pet store
- Possible behavior challenges: Tweed has the occasional moment where he forgets himself and decides he wants to check something out in the environment. We are working on his impulse control when this happens
- Advanced training location: Vancouver Island
- Potential career path: Assistance Dog
