VALOUR recently joined the Burnaby Advanced Training class from Calgary and is settling in well. Valour is a sweet and attentive dog who comes to advanced training with a solid skill set; thank you to her Puppy Raisers and Calgary Puppy Program trainers for giving her such a strong start! Valour is full of energy and loves her training sessions, especially when she gets to tug the door open! She is working on retrieve introduction and is progressing well so far. When she is not working hard learning lots of new things, Valour loves to have a good romp in the play yard with new friends Zaria, Truffle, and Dusty.
- Skills being learned: Sharpening basic obedience, including durations cues, retrieve introduction, working alongside a power or manual chair.
- Recent field trips: Lougheed Mall, Ikea, PetSmart, various training field trips.
- Possible behavior challenges: Separation anxiety and barrier frustration.
- Potential career path: Service, PTSD or AFD
