VESPER has had a busy month! She participated in Team Training with PADS staff member Jessica. Vesper has primarily spent her training time with Ashley walking, so it was good practice for her being handled by someone new and in a power chair. Vesper continues to work on refining her skills with a focus on transferring her existing skills to a handler using a wheelchair.
- Skills being learned: Practicing all skills with power chair, default check in for exciting distractions.
- Recent field trips: PetSmart, Metrotown Mall, Robert Burnaby Park and various other training field trips.
- Possible behavior challenges: Keeping focused in high distraction areas.
- Potential career path: Service, PTSD or AFD
