VESPER has been hard at work on her service skills, obedience and learning to settle in cars, public and in the home. She has been going home weekends with her trainer Ashley so that she can have lots of practice. Vesper has been very keen on skill work and is getting much better at shutting off to recharge.
- Skills being learned: ‘Switch’, retrieve work, settling in locations with various levels of distraction.
- Recent field trips: Vancouver Aquarium, various dog parks, Metrotown Mall, Lougheed Mall, 6th and 6th New Westminster.
- Possible behavior challenges: Arousal around dogs or exiting sounds, difficulty settling.
- Potential career path: Service, AFD or PTSD
