WINNIE is enjoying exploring service skills in advanced training.  She has a lot of energy and is working on channeling it into tasks.  With so much energy she finds loose leash walking challenging and has been working hard at staying in the loose leash walking zone with Ashley and other handlers.  It’s hard for her to contain her excitement, but it is coming along nicely!

  • Skills being learned: Loose leash walking, ‘light’, ‘button’, retrieve foundations, prey drive impulse control work, quiet when hearing door knocks or people entering a room.
  • Recent field trips: Canada Games Pool, Royal City Mall, PNE Playland and various other training field trips.
  • Possible behavior challenges: Pulls strongly on leash when she is not engaged with her handler, barking at the door, dog distraction.
  • Potential career path: Service, AFD or PTSD

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Winnie!
