WINNIE has been trying out other aspects of potential assistance careers and is having a lot of fun working on anxiety interrupter skills and only doing some service skills just for fun without the pressure. Winnie’s main challenge continues to be her loose leash walking, which is not consistent as it we would like, so Winnie is trying out a head halti to help her remember to self-regulate. So far, she is doing well with all the new aspects she is exploring!
- Skills being learned: Practicing all learned skills, loose leash walking in a head halt, anxiety interrupters.
- Recent field trips: Currently Not Applicable Due to COVID-19
- Possible behavior challenges: Not consistently maintaining loose leash zone, vocalizing when impatient with handler.
- Advanced training location: Burnaby
- Potential career path: Assistance Dog
Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Winnie!
