ZARIA continues to sharpen all her service skills and loves to learn new things, especially when there is food involved. She has great persistence and loves to go for a good run next to the power-chair. Her focus this month was working on her impulse control and prey drive, particularly around thrown balls and hose sprays. When she is not training hard, she loves to have a good romp in the yard with her kennel buddy Truffle!
- Skills being learned: Sharpening all existing skills, impulse control exercises.
- Recent field trips: Ambleside Park, IKEA, local secondary school, Lougheed Mall, Metrotown Mall, Brentwood Town Center, SkyTrain, local grocery store, PetSmart.
- Possible behavior challenges: Prey drive, especially for hose spray and thrown balls, jumping onto people when she is excited, often wants to bite and/or play with retrieve items.
- Potential career path: Service
