It has been an exciting May for Tope, as she has officially started her Advanced Training adventure! She came in for a week on the Burnaby campus to be assessed and see how truly wonderful she is. Tope did have some feelings about being in the kennel environment, after some support with the trainers she adjusted in the end. Tope loved to play with Quiche and get all the pets – she is incredibly soft!
Tope is out with Una, who will continue being her long-term sitter until TopeΒ is assigned an Advanced Trainer. They will work together on Tope’s durational skills with sit and stand, her dog distraction, and her off-leash recall. Una has taken her on many adventures, exposing her to art galleries, museums, libraries and even went on the skytrain and buses!
