Lulu started out the month with a lot of excitement as I was babysitting my 2-1/2-year-old granddaughter and their family dog. Unfortunately, the family dog was busy trying to teach Lulu some bad habits. Although Lulu was trying to resist I was concerned she would succumb to the dog’s peer pressure. So I sent her to the country (an acreage in Cochrane) with a puppy sitter. She had a lovely time playing with a wolfhound and meeting new friends. Stew worked hard on her loose leash walking and having her wait to go through doorways and downstairs. Lulu was much improved in those areas on her return to my home.
Lulu spent the second half of the month going to various appointments and events with me. She was very well-behaved with the ophthalmologist and the optometrist. Lulu also went out for dinner and to Theatre Calgary where they provided special box seats for us. I don’t believe she enjoyed the play as much as I did, although she did rest her head on the ledge a few times to watch the actors.
