Marsh’s Hot month of July

This month, I experienced summer heat, and it slowed me down rather a lot. Morning walks were the most enjoyable because the air was cooler, and I am getting a little bit better at walking longer distances, and sniffing a little less and getting less kibble, and I’m doing a little bit better. As the day progressed, the house got hotter and hotter, and I slept for hours. Our outings took us to air-conditioned malls and a coffee shop. Evenings were when my energy levels spiked again, and that’s when I had some fun garden play and worked on some cues.

One of my humans volunteered at a church camp, and we went to watch the singing and games that were so loud. I just watched and then snoozed for a bit as I wasn’t allowed to join in.

There was a huge volleyball tournament that I went to where we watched the fit, young players leaping around in the sun whilst I lay in the shade. Another day, we took Granny to see CATS, the musical, at an outdoor theatre, and I think I was good for most of it. One cat came right up to me, and I didn’t chase it or bark.

For half of the month, I went to a sitter and experienced living in an apartment building up high. No garden to play in, and it was a real change for me. Of course, I charmed the sitter and was as good as I could be. She took me to the vet twice, and that experience was a bit weird, but the staff were really nice to me. I’m looking forward to next month as I am going to have some get-togethers with my friends.
